The Law of Live Love By: Janet Hanna
on Mar 17 in Love In Action by lampsoRecently I have been invited to share the message of Live Love more and more. It is funny for me… I feel like I am returning to my roots to a certain extent. Not to long ago I was sharing at a company gathering at Kennesaw Transport. I only shared for about five minutes or so about living love and then shared a little about what Project Live Love was doing to spread that message. When the gathering was over, a lady came up to me. She introduced herself as Janet Hanna and said she was a writer. She expressed how much she enjoyed what I had to say about living love and that her heart was feeling the same way. She told me that while I was talking she began to write. She wrote an entire poem during my talk. It was then that she shared with me the poem she called “The Law of Live Love.” I thought that it was pretty cool so I wanted to share it you.
The Law of Live Love
By Janet Hanna
The law of love
Comes not from within
It comes not from us
Or our hearts of sin
For if we
Were to solve
The world’s enemy
And making laws
We would never be able
To rise above
Our own egocentricity
Or our selfish love
So when we are called
To be like God
We get out of ourselves
And begin living love.
He lived the law
The law of love
The poorest of all
The broken ones
Were those he taught
And used them too
For when the rich
Saw the things he’d do
They would be aghast
They’d be put out
They killed it fast
And stomped it flat.
So the weak, the lost,
The lame and blind
The ones who are sick
And left behind
He was sent to rescue
Save and restore
He loves them so
But they love him more
So today when you think
You are so alone
Remember if you’re low
You’re living love!!
